Terms of Service

Before you publish: the details here are UK placeholder examples (For Real Tech Ltd, company no. 00000000, London address). Replace them with your real registered company details before going live — Stripe reviewers check that these match your account. Have a lawyer review if you can.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the services provided by For Real Tech Ltd ("For Real Tech", "we", "us"), a business registered in England & Wales, to you ("Client", "you"). By requesting a quote, placing an order, or using our website at forrealtech.com, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

For Real Tech provides custom software development, web application development, systems integration, and technical consulting. The exact scope, deliverables, timeline, and price of any engagement are defined in a written quote or statement of work agreed between you and us before work begins ("the Agreement"). Where these Terms and a signed Agreement conflict, the Agreement controls.

2. Quotes and orders

Package prices listed on our website are starting prices. A binding price is fixed only once we issue a written quote for your specific project and you accept it. Consulting and integration work may be billed hourly at the rate stated in your quote, in tracked increments.

3. Payment terms

4. Client responsibilities

You agree to provide the information, access, content, and approvals we reasonably need to deliver the work, and to respond to requests within a reasonable time. Delays caused by missing input may extend timelines and are not our responsibility.

5. Intellectual property

On full payment for an engagement, you own the custom source code and deliverables we produce for you. We may retain ownership of pre-existing tools, libraries, and general know-how, and grant you a licence to use them as part of your deliverables. We may reference the general nature of the work in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to.

6. Third-party services

Deliverables may rely on third-party services (for example hosting, payment, or API providers). Their fees, terms, and availability are your responsibility, and we are not liable for their acts, outages, or changes.

7. Warranties and support

We provide a fixed window of fixes for defects after delivery, as stated in your quote (for example, two weeks). This covers work not matching the agreed scope. It does not cover new features, third-party failures, or changes you or others make after handover. Beyond that window, further work is quoted separately.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to an engagement is limited to the fees you paid us for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost profits or data.

9. Cancellation

Either party may end an engagement in writing. On cancellation you pay for work completed and non-cancellable costs incurred up to that point. Refund handling is described in our Refund Policy.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England & Wales.
